Meet the Maker: Prompt 30: Range

This is something I am working on and want to expand. I'd love to introduce more skin care and maybe some home fragrance products too. Meet the Maker: Prompt 26: Favourite

My absolute favourite soap to make is my Lavender & Black Pepper soap - watching the colour of the Alkanet root change when it hits the soap batter.The Natural Collection is where it all started and the middle picture shows the four soaps all wrapped up and in the sunlight.And, of course, there's that batch of the antimicrobial soap that came out looking amazing thanks to glycerin rivers. Meet the Maker: Prompt 25: Starting Point

When making new recipes it starts with research. I look into different oils, fats & butters and how they generally react in soap. Will they make a harder bar? Will they create lots of bubbles? Once I have an idea of what ingredients I want to use it all gets calculated in a Soap Calculator to ensure i'm using the correct amount of lye. I'll make the recipe, allow it to cure, test & tweak.
